This patented assembly - a Synchron exclusive - combines rotating motion and electrical power in a single, compact, 2-wire unit. Available with clockwise or counterclockwise Synchron gearmotors or Hansen brush type DC gear motors for use in any position. The slip ring assembly has a special double brush and dual contact to assure continuous transmission of electrical power.

For this timing product we combine a Synchron instrument motor and an external gear train. You can choose motor speeds ranging from one revolution per week to 1 rpm or faster. These gear train reductions are offered, 6:1, 12:1, 96:1, 168:1. An anti-backlash device on the final reduction gear limits output shaft backlash to 1/2 degree or less in most applications.

Self-resetting is an option with the C movement for customers who need to synchronize multiple clocks to a single master clock.
